Mission

The Arc Fond du Lac is human service organization that empowers adults and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities(IDD) to become independent and integrated into the community through advocacy, education, training, living services, and support.

Philosophy

The Arc Fond du Lac accepts the responsibility for promoting the general welfare of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities through advocacy, services, and community involvement.

Vision

  • To be the leader and innovator in providing programs that improve the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • To ensure people receiving services will have the knowledge to make informed decisions or have the support of others to advocate on their behalf.
  • To help persons with IDD to have control over their lives and live a meaningful life by providing unique person-centered planning.
  • Continue fiscal responsibility while expanding services and housing.

Purpose

  • To ensure community inclusion for all people regardless of disability.
  • Provide opportunities for people with IDD to live as a contributing member of the community while being valued for their abilities and uniqueness.
  • Assist in creating strong self-advocates; persons with IDD have the right to advocate and/or be supported to exercise their rights as citizen.
  • Ensure a person-centered approach in each service provided at The Arc Fond du Lac.
