The Community Enrichment Program (CEP) is a nights and weekends program designed to integrate those with intellectual and developmental disabilities into the community in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Its purpose is to increase social connections, promote decision-making, build independence, build confidence, aid in skills development, allow participants to accomplish goals, and create a more inclusive community.

CEP offers many different activities throughout the year to help individuals build a strong community presence, in a way meaningful to their own lives. Some examples of events include educational courses, recreation and leisure activities. The Community Enrichment Program has been part of the Fond du Lac Community for over 25 years! Participants must be 18 or older.

The Arc of Fond du Lac’s Special Olympics program is hosted within the CEP program. Special Olympics works to further develop skills, accomplish personal goals, build conference, socialize, and increase physical activities. The Arc Fond du Lac host several sports throughout the years such as bowling, bocce ball, swimming, and basketball. The Arc Special Olympics program welcomes all athletes who are looking to compete and have some fun.

• Thursday, December 3rd – Yoga with Linda
  • Limit: 8 people
  • Meet at: The Arc Annex at 6:30 PM
  • Pick up at: The Arc Annex at 7:30 PM
  • Cost: $10.00 per person
• Monday, December 7th – KC Christmas Dance
  • Come enjoy dinner, music, dancing, and spending time with friends!
  • Limit: The Arc will provide staff for up to 30 participants. Other people are welcome to attend but must bring their own chaperone.
  • Meet at: Avenue 795, 795 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac, at 6:00 PM
  • Pick up at: Avenue 795 at 9:00 PM
  • Cost: Free! Dinner is included.
• Wednesday, December 9th – Christmas Spirit Bingo
  • Wear a Christmas shirt, sweatshirt, or holiday accessories and join us for some fun Christmas bingo!
  • Limit: 30 people
  • Meet at: The Arc Annex at 6:00 PM
  • Pick up at: The Arc Annex at 7:30 PM
  • Cost: $10.00 per person
• Thursday, December 10th – Self Advocacy
  • We will walk to a restaurant in downtown Fond du Lac for dinner and celebrate finishing the year together!
  • You must be enrolled in the group in January to attend. No new enrollments are allowed.
  • Meet at: The Arc Thrift Store, 29 3rd St., at 6:00 PM
  • Pick up at: The Arc Thrift Store at 8:00 PM
  • Cost: $40.00 per person. Dinner is included.
• Tuesday, December 15th – Worship at The Cross
  • Meet at: St. Paul Lutheran, 1010 Adams Ave., North Fond du Lac, at 6:30 PM
  • Pick up at: St. Paul Lutheran at 7:30 PM
  • Cost: $10.00 per person
• Wednesday, December 16th – Self Advocacy Group
  • People with disabilities lead this group. Come share your thoughts and talk about things that are important to you.
  • Meet at: The Arc Annex at 6:00 PM
  • Pick up at: The Arc Annex at 7:30 PM
  • Cost: Free to attend.
  • People who need transportation from the community must pay a transportation fee.
• Saturday, December 19th – Christmas Movie and Gift Exchange
  • Join us for a fun Christmas party with friends! We will exchange small gifts, watch a Christmas movie, and enjoy hot chocolate and popcorn.
  • Limit: 8 participants
  • Meet at: The Arc Annex at 1:00 PM
  • Pick up at: The Arc Annex at 3:30 PM
  • Cost: $20.00 per person. This includes a small gift for the exchange.
• Monday, December 21st – Intro to Snowshoeing
  • Learn how to snowshoe! If there is no snow, we will still enjoy a fun hike.
  • Meet at: Kiekhaefer Park, W4235 Kiekhaefer Park, Fond du Lac, at 5:30 PM
  • Pick up at: Kiekhaefer Park at 6:30 PM
  • Cost: $15.00 per person
  • Please bring: A water bottle, jacket, hat, gloves, and walking shoes. Bring your snowshoes if you have them and if there is snow.
• Tuesday, December 22nd – Thrive Class: Sexual Health-Learn about the human body and how it works. We will talk about staying safe, consent, and the difference between private and public places and behaviors.
