Since 1960, The Arc Wisconsin has advocated for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families to ensure that they have opportunities to live and thrive in the community of their choosing throughout their lifetimes.
As a state chapter within The Arc’s network of chapters across the country, we are part of a nationwide movement of organizations working together to build a future where people with IDD are respected, valued and included.
While The Arc Wisconsin operates through The Arc of Fond du Lac, its activities are separate from this local chapter. The Arc Wisconsin focuses on grassroots advocacy, mobilization and programs that ensure the voices of self-advocates and families are at the forefront of all policy decisions made in the state.
Though each locally affiliated chapter operates independently, we are united in our advocacy efforts and share a common goal of advancing equity and inclusion for people with IDD across Wisconsin.
