Employee Appreciation!

This month, Lexi Moss-Lepinsky, was nominated by her co-workers for a job well done!

Lexi started with The Arc Fond du Lac last Spring and has been a blessing since! She currently works in our Adult Day Center providing exceptional care to our clients. She has been participating in monthly swimming outings with the clients. Lexi is not afraid to assist with any clients that may need assistance in the Day Program.

Lexi works on personal goals with the clients everyday, taking the time to get to know each and every client to ensure person-centered care. Lexi is also fully involved in The Arc Fond du Lac, working across departments and picking up shifts where she can.

Michelle Buck, Transportation Coordinator, described working with Lexi, “Lexi was super helpful loading the Smith Route group. She went way over and above her job duties! Thank you so much!”

We appreciate Lexi and all she does for our clients and for The Arc Fond du Lac!

Arc Achievers!

Meet Rosemary “Rosie” Geiger, who is proud to be 74 years young! Rosie has been a member of The Arc family for 9 years, in our Adult Day Services Program.

A few years ago, Rosie suffered from a mini-stroke, which resulted in weakness in her left side; however, in true Rosie style, she was determined to work hard, regain her strength, and continue participating in Day Services. Due to medical needs, Rosie required additional care and made the decision to move to Omro, however, she was persistent in wanting to return to Day Services and advocated to find transportation that would allow her to continue participating. Rosie’s current personal goals include improving walking long distances, without the use of a wheelchair, and to drink more water. These are all goals that Direct Support Professionals in Adult Day Services have been helping Rosie achieve!

When asked why Rosie likes coming to The Arc, she said, “I enjoy seeing Carol, we are good friends.” Carol is a Direct Support Professional who works in Rosie’s
classroom and helps her achieve her goals. When asked what her favorite activity is to participate in at The Arc, Rosie stated, “everything, I can’t choose just one, but I really enjoy swimming.” Rosie participates in swimming monthly at the YMCA, where she can work on strength building. The YMCA is a great community resource, and we are proud to partner with them in helping our members achieve healthy lifestyles.

The Arc is proud to be a part of Rosie’s continuing story, and to be able to help her achieve her goals. We are excited to see all of Rosie’s progress and celebrate in her accomplishments.
